Free Agency for Iggy

The hour came and went. The Sixers failed to sign Andre Iguodala to a contract extension, but GM Billy King says they had a great conversation about it. Which is nice.

I had a great conversation about sleeping with Jessica Alba….whats your point BK? Are you determined to make sure the sixers become the best team in NBDL?

this doesn’t make any fawkin sense at all. If iggy goes, the first pick is set is stone. it’s probably set in stone anyway but this is just ridiculous. I believe philly will have the biggest cap room with or without iggy next year so maybe king is smarter than i am. its not looking that way.

How does Billy King keep his job? Does he have some pictures of somebody or something, does he know about an illicit affair or something? Unbelievable!

To play devil’s advocate, it’s not like Andre Iguodala is a centerpiece to anyone’s playoff dreams. BK already gave Sam Dalembert too much money, and he’ll probably have to overpay Korver, too. At some point they’re going to need to get an All-Star if they want to compete, and I’m not talking about Andre Miller. That said, it would have been nice to get a deal done. But THAT said, it doesn’t look like any extensions really worked out.
