BREAKING NEWS: Arenas to miss three months after knee surgery.
After missing the playoffs last season and rehabbing all summer following knee surgery, Gilbert Arenas was still experiencing difficulties. He went back under the knife today. He’s expected to miss three months, which places his return around the beginning of March.

I fell bad for Gil and the Wiz. He came back way too soon. I hope he doesn’t need the dreaded microfracture. I hope he comes back in time to give his club a chance cuz they’re about to lose a number of games.

I was one of the fans that critiziced Arenas for the things he said in his SI interview..but I never expected karma to hit back like this! You could feel how excited he was coming back just from the tone of his writing this season..sad news for the NBA.

gah, this pulled at my heart strings. His latest blog entry is so sad too, he is just so disheartened. I supported him taking time off from the beginning, but I don’t understand what “minor microfracture” is. He says in the blog that it only takes 3 months rehab as compared to the actual microfracture that Amare or Oden had. Also that there is the torn meniscus. Poor guy. He also mentions ending things with his girlfriend, and having his kids move out to LA to be with her. Things are hitting him form all angles. I just pray everything goes smoothly and he takes care of himself and can come back to be one of my favorite faces in the L. Stay strong, Gil.

This will be another Penny like story if he really thinks he can come back in 3 months! He should sit out the season for his sake. It takes much longer than 3 months for all the ligaments to acquire its strength and flexibility back, its humanly impossible to comeback in 3 months at 100%, the muscles can get stronger and provide more support in a month of solid rehad but Liagaments??? especially the meniscus, these things takes well over 3 months to heal. man the doctors advise once again is crap, they just want gilbert to go under the knife again to make more $, conflict of interest anyone!!??
