Alan, I can’t back you, you didn’t list a Heat player. Seriously, I’m with you and that list is tight.

Ryan Jones says:
McAdoo was a Heat assistant, eboy. You dumb bastard.

Oct.1 at 1:27 pm

white hot eboy says:

Jack says:
Tim Hardaway played for the Heat, yeah?

Oct.1 at 1:38 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Will the torch be covered in lead-based paint?

Oct.1 at 1:40 pm

white hot eboy says:
At writing, playing guitar or basketball? I don’t mind about the first two, but on the basketball side, I’m not worried about nobody.

white hot eboy says:
I’m going to have to re-read Alan’s list.

You got my vote, Alan. By the way, what’s the state doing about the polution issue? Will it be okay for the outdoor track and field athletes (and any others whose events are outdoors)? Just curious.

Nadav says:
you had me at Ron Harper

Oct.1 at 1:51 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Oh yeah, I voted for you too, Alan. Pretty sneaky to post only your page so we couldn’t see the other candidates, though. Now I know what it’s like to “vote” for a dictatorship, haha.

Oct.1 at 1:51 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Nadav: So until the second-to-last name you were going to vote for someone else?

Oct.1 at 1:59 pm

Nadav says:
also, Alan named the fab five in order of gangsterness. lovely.

Tarzan Cooper says:
baron davis?, jason kidd?, gary payton?

Oct.1 at 2:08 pm

white hot eboy says:
Tarzan, Alan’s list is old-school. You’ll also not see Lebron, Kobe, D-Wade or Shaq. And I dont see Kareem’s name either. Hmmmmmmm.

Oct.1 at 2:10 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Terry Mills and Gary Grant also played for the Heat. Some “fan” you are.

Oct.1 at 2:15 pm

white hot eboy says:
Russ, all those names are running together. Forgive me for not remembering two minor footnotes in their short, semi-succesful history.

Oct.1 at 2:18 pm

H to the izzo says:
I think semi successful is over-stating it a bit

Oct.1 at 2:21 pm

Nadav says:
um…didnt Tim Hardaway also play a game or two for the heat, white hot?

Oct.1 at 2:25 pm

Nadav says:
im gonna have to re-read the comments…

Oct.1 at 2:34 pm

Tarzan Cooper says:
he said shawn kemp, so why not gary payton?

Oct.1 at 2:36 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Because he didn’t? Go back to saying “zzzzzzzzz” all the time.

Oct.1 at 3:23 pm

jbn74sb says:
I actually laughed out loud at Russ’s comment, which means the rest of the office should be checking on me soon to see if I’m okay.

Thanks for the support. That list was off the top of y head, which explains some oversights and some typos. I left Laimbeer and McHale off on purpose, though, despite having really liked both of them.

stevesmith#8fan says:
There are a ton of Detriot area players on that list but no love for Steve Smith. Come on Alan get with the program!!! The Steve Smith stutter step was classic.

Oct.2 at 12:16 am

apaul says:
Love Steve smith!Great player and one of the all time great guys. Nothing but oversight!

Oct.2 at 11:35 am

Jeronimo says:
Alan, I’ve just voted for you. I wish you the best of luck. Oh, and it was a wise decision to leave Laimbeer out of your list. :-)

Oct.2 at 12:10 pm

apaul says:
I have to say that despite being a huge Pistons and Laimbeer fan, he was not an oversight.. neither was mchale.. he as incredibly great but I rooted so hard against him, I couldn’t do it.
