Does Chris Webber Speak Greek?

Apparently, a Greek squad (Olympiacos) has offered Chris Webber a multi-million dollar deal, which he’s seriously considering. These European teams ain’t messing around anymore it seems.

“first” is so pointless. it used to be worth something, however little, before there were 15 posts a day. it would be crazy if cwebb went.

Just heard of that rumor from you guys, and Olympiakos is my team. Three comments:
1) Never believe a rumor that appears in Greek media. Evenmore so when it’s hard to believe, is about Olympiakos (4 million fans in an 11 million country need to get some recreation somehow!) and especially if it is subsequent to a Panathinaikos mega move.
2)Chris wouldn’t get a championship in Greece even if he was in his prime. Not with the best roster in a European team (baring a Kirilenko signing for CSKA) AND Obradovic at the wheel for Panthinaikos.
3)I would love to see Webber live, even at this point of his career. To bad it’s not happening…

first of all i am an olympiacos fan.
. From my point of view the possibilities for c-webb to continue and maybe finish his career in greece are great. The offer is great and i dont think Chris will find a better one in the nba. As for the roumors they started from th u.s not from greece the article first appeared in espn.com I personal wish c-webb chooses our team and i am sure he won t regret it.

People, do not forget.
1 Euro = 1.41USD today. USD being at a record low makes Europe somehow interesting. Jasikevicius did not think twice to sign a 2 year contract at OLIMPIAKOS for 8.5M Euros although he was expecting Barcelona to be his final destination.

Chris should just come to the team that ORIGINALLY drafted him. No, not the GSW.

Kayce,
I do not know if Chris Webber needs more money, but we can ask Scottie Pippen or a large list of forme pro-players that would probably proof you wrong.
