If I may add: The point of this was that all of us SLAM staffer types picked our favorite worn-by-NBA-players-during-the-SLAM-era shoes, and some of us were more specific than others. It’s still a good look. To David: Maybe you’ve never worn III’s or IV’s or seen V’s. I think the XI is way down on the list of J’s. I’m taking 2’s, 3’s, 5’s, 8’s, 9’s, 14’s and 17’s before the 11. Not a fan of patent leather. I remember we thought they’d be cool for the kids in ROTC to wear them when they first came out.

i got most of these right but some kinda surprised me! I finally know what #1 is rip hamilton the hardwood threw me off! i though #4 was carmelo anthony cuz he’s with jordan brand and those jordan 5’s would go nicely with the alternate denver road jersey i thought #17 was grant hill cuz again the hardwood floor threw me off ( orlando magic floor)and grant hill did play in adidas pro models … i think… but it turned out to be antione walker when i thought about it it does make ssense cuz he did play for the mavericks a while back and #18 i thought was shaq cuz he did wear adidas but kobe? surprising? i think so! and #21 i thought was jermaine o’neal cuz of the yellow kicks but derek did play for the lakers so it makes sense… all the others i got no problem
