Shaq Is A Hero

Off the court, anyway…

by Marcel Mutoni

Shaquille O’Neal didn’t play in Miami’s three point loss to the Bulls on Saturday night; the team doesn’t want to risk putting him back on the chilling list by playing him on back-to-back nights. O’Neal and bodyguard Jerome Crawford got back home around 4 A.M. following the game, and as Shaq helped Crawford unload luggage into his home, Emmnueo Cibrin, 18, rammed his car into Shaq’s parked 2007 Escalade. Cibrin decided to flee the scene, and the chase was on.

Shaq and his bodyguard hopped into the damaged vehicle and followed the young guy for about five minutes before catching up with him and his passenger.

“He was going to stop, but then we saw the Escalade chasing us,'’ Junior Rondon, Cibrin’s passenger said. “We got scared and kept driving, you know?”

Hey, don’t worry about it man, if I saw Shaq chasing me, I’d probably be more than a little shook myself.

The best part of the story is that Shaq got out of his car after catching up with the youngins, and put them in their place.

“I couldn’t believe that,'’ Rondon said. “Of all the people. I mean, damn.”

“He told us to shut up,” Rondon said. “He said, `I don’t want to talk to you right now.’”

The cops were eventually called, and the kids were ticketed for a number of violations.

I think Shaq should play in a cop uniform from now on, that’s the only way to save the season for the Heat.

I miss the days when Shaq was tearing up the league with Orlando & LA. To see him in his current condition is sad. Getting old sucks.

yeah, being a living legend/ multimillionaire with 5 kids and a loving wife must be terrible. not much consolation in being an upstanding citizen who actually gives a shit either.

when somebody slams into your car and you chase him it doesn’t mean you’re hero, it means you’re pissed about somebody slamming your car, unless ofcourse you are a big time athlete in U.S. with a big PR machine, then you’re naturally Superman
