Player of the D.A.Y.

Down goes Phoenix

By Sam Rubenstein

Pau Gasol had a ridiculous stat line. Vince Carter scored 33 in Utah and reversed the Nets late game luck with a deep three. Sorry fellas. Bad timing.

Kevin Garnett had 44 and 11 to end the Phoenix Suns 17 game win streak. I don’t have to say anything more.

Brad says:
Why is the story KG? When a team’s 17 game win streak ends, the story is the impressive win streak, and that it’s now over. Phoenix were due for a loss, obviously. They didn’t play very well. To write it like this unstoppable force finally smashed into the one thing that could possibly stop it and that that was KG, is beyond stupid. 44 and 11 is a big game, even for Garnett (when was the last time he got 40? Years?) This was a great win over a great team. But anyone with any sense who watched the games last night would tell you that Vince Carter was the player of the night

AMEN Brad! Let’s not mention one of the greatest team performances of the past decade/ever. Let’s just snub Steve Nash like we’re ignorant fans voting him out of the All-star game. Let’s not even mention that the Suns went 17 straight, and the fact that the night before they handed it hard to the King and one of the best teams in the East.
SLAM ya’ll are slackin so hard maybe we should call this the Antoine Walker forum, or how Tim Thomas…no no, the Chris Childs forum is more like it.
Step up and recognize true history in the making. P.S. The Suns gain their powers from D’Antoni’s ’stache.

Brad,”They didn’t play very well. To write it like this unstoppable force finally smashed into the one thing that could possibly stop it and that that was KG” - Maybe you should read some of Steve Nash’s quotes, because thats pretty much what he said.

Brad says:
Why don’t you guys all get your heads out of the asses of the phony idiots that run this shitty magazine. The fact that all of you felt it necessary to jump in and echo each other without even offering any kind of arguments (except Boing; What is Nash supposed to say?) is pathetic.

Sam Rubenstein says:
Well, the Suns have been playing at such a high level with their style of play that every time they lose it’s a big deal. 44 and 11 is also a big deal. Combine those two and I really don’t see how this is even a conversation.

steph says:
having said all that, i’m curious as to why u bother reading up on this “shitty magazine”?!!
rather contradictive in action, no?

Mike says:
Yeah ill give KG his due cause he was sick, but VC’s game winner is hands down the best in a long ass time. What made it better was how he turned around and waved goodbye to the crowd and the Jazz bench. Sorry Gil, but Vince just took over number 1 for buzzer beaters.

Chief says:
Brad, power forwards don’t score over 40 all the time. It’s not something to just dismiss as nothing.
peace.

Yeah you right Brad. I am so sorry man. sike! play wit it.

Brad is it that time again?
44 and 11 is a huge night for anyone and if Kobe had it you would be like yeah!
KG outscored the suns and won that game for Minnesota by 9 points. they took over and dominated Phoenix at the end. Vince’s shot was a buzzer beater but Minny didn’t need one cause KG had already won it for them.

NAS says:
You short-changed KG by not saying more about his performance, truely a work of art, the man is the best PF of ALL-TIME:
1. KG
2. TD
3. Mail man

The world would be a better place if people like Brad stopped reading this “shitty magazine”. Then we wouldn’t have to hear your stupid ass comments anymore.

Benedict says:
NAS, you’re not effing serious are you? KG best PF of all-time? How many championships does he has? Oh yeah, as of now, none. He can barely even reach the playoffs. As for my man TD, he’s on the top of the seeding EVERY SINGLE TIME. He’s the best PF of all-time, no doubt. Everyone who’s not a Suns fan was waiting for this, so KG’s 44-points was enough to give him P of the D.A.Y. honors over inconsistents Carter and Gasol.
