Player of the D.A.Y.

LeBron gets a lot of hype. More than someone who’s been doing it for years…

By Sam Rubenstein

Did I not give Tim Duncan his due for keeping the Spurs in the game in L.A.? I did mention that he drew the double team for the game-winning open look and that he nearly had a triple double. But it’s easy to overlook Duncan just because he’s been so great for so long without any of the flashiness. He’s the best power forward of all-time (IMO). You expect this kind of thing from him. The Spurs did not play well at either end of the floor. They were on the road against a team with one of the best records in the NBA, with Lamar Odom back from injury. Tim Duncan dominated, and gave young Andrew Bynum a floor display that his mentor Kareem would be proud of.

21-14-9 with 3 blocks. Player of the D.A.Y. is the Tim Duncan Robot.

I dunno about lebron sucking (Did you see that dunk he had along the baseline? He could look into the rim), but duncan is unstoppable in crunch time.

Could easily have been Nash again w/ his 23 pts on 10-17 shooting (3-6 from 3 pt), 15 dimes and ZERO T.O.’s. You know the guy is good when we come to expect these kind of #’s night in and night out. Can you say MVP 3-peat???

i don’t know, sam. i watched the fourth quarter, and duncan was bricking off the glass big time- although he did did pull down some key offensive boards. but it was GINOBLI! and his clutch 3-point shooting who brought them back.

The guy why so much hate towards James? If you can’t realize that he is one of the top players in the NBA obviously you dont pay attention to the League.

Tim Duncan has got to be the best PF ever! Consistent, winner, class act. No PF was ever as dominate as Duncan was/is on BOTH ends of the floor.

Cookie just for being so humble is impressive in his own right. And if you come down the lane, better be on some lebron-josh smith-Dwight Sheeit, otherwise he’ll reject that shot and turn you into that kid from the grant hill drinks sprite ad.
