Player of the D.A.Y.
45 for McGrady. Not enough.
I know that the Player of the D.A.Y. is tainted as an MVP race indicator because of the lack of weekend posts. It’s still going to be a good indicator though. Dirk Nowitzki is so hot right now, coming off a conference player of the week, and he needs more love in the MVP race even if his team is a machine. Some other day.
Ray Allen didn’t have his shot going, but made up for it with 11 assists, which you don’t expect from Ray. His team beat LeBron’s. It hasn’t been the greatest season for the Sonics, but here is a… something of light. Can’t bring myself to say it, though I guess I just did. Player of the D.A.Y. is R.A.Y.

I always like to read about this award. But it is nothing more than something interesting to read. Ray Allen over T-Mac and Lebron(Okay, they lost) AND over Dirk, who scored 30 in Houston with 14 coming in the fourth quarter, after another brilliant performance on friday, which never gets recognized. That’s not right
