SLAM Radio with Chris Paul

The best radio show in the world returns with the reigning Rookie of the Year.

by Lang Whitaker

It’s that time again. Tonight from 8:00 until 10:00 p.m. EST, we’ll be broadcasting SLAM Radio, live from East Village Radio. Of course, you can listen in live over the ‘net at eastvillageradio.com.

Oh, and I did mention tonight’s special guest? It’s the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year and current SLAM cover boy Chris Paul. That’s right, we’re actually getting, like, really good guests and stuff. You can hear the point god tonight at eastvillageradio.com, and hopefully we’ll have audio of it in the next day or so to post here.

But wait! I know, I know what you’re thinking: Wait a second…it’s the middle of the summer, what in the world can the guys from SLAM talk about live on the radio for two hours?

Well, we’re not really sure either. So if you have questions, for CP3 or for us, throw ‘em in the comments section down below…

And see ya on the airwaves tonight!!

PG questions I wanna know:
What PG’s got the fastest first step in the league? Best court vision? Best handle?
Who’d he like better comin up : Penny Hardaway or Timmy Hardaway?
Who’ll do better with the reins: Speedy or TJ? Strictly Paul related:
What’s he focusing on this offseason to help adjust to the L? Stamina? 3 ball? Or no time with the Worlds?
I’m also interested to know if opposing coaches ever smack talk, in college or the League, to rooks…
Alba or Beyonce? Can’t pick both.
On a personal note: In most fantasy drafts, Paul’s slated at or around the top PG in the game, probably between him and Nash. Fantasy wise, how many PG’s does he think will get by him this year? Can we get an over / under? Or you could just ask him where I should draft him this year.
BTW, thank him for getting me in the finals (and more importantly, the $$$$ round), last year - that trip-doub near the end won me 5 hundo alone…..

I’d like to hear Chris’s reaction to the National Team winning the Bronze at the Worlds. Does he think the team as it’s structured now can win in 2008? What needs to change? Also, what are his goals for this season? He had such a stellar rookie year… how does he plan to follow it up? What will it take to get the Hornets into the Playoffs this year? How does he feel about the moves that the Hornets made in the offseason? Thanks Lang.

What does he think of all of the talk that the USA would have been better off starting Lebron at the point?

I’ll ask a question that Chris will want to answer.Exactly which NBA players and celebrities have committed to participating in your Winston-Salem weekend beginning this friday. Also on the same topic how good a bowler is Gilbert Arenas and anyone else from TeamUSA who went out with them.

Question For CP3.. You got 3sec on the clock down by 2pts, no timeouts, you got Peja alone in the corner for the 3pts and you got the possibility to drive the lane. Do you: A. Pass the ball to Peja and win the game(and keeping in mind his shooting is not what it used to be) or B. You take it to the hole wish for the best and of course the And 1 count? And hoping to see you at the all-star game. Imagine CP3 and Nash in the same backcourt!? Its gonna be HighFlyers club night in Las Vegas.
