speaking of basketball video game, i just wanna say my piece about nba 2k7. i was anticipating the release for about at least a month now and i went to grab a copy yesterday when it first became available. i’ve been playing nba 2k6 on ps2 since it came out last year and i’ve logged at least 400-500 hours on it since then. that being said, 2k7 for ps2 was a little disappointing. the game play has changed a little, but it felt more like a roster update than a new game. i think 2k sports just concentrated on making the 360 version and kinda left ps2 and xbox (i assume) behind. granted 360 is a way more powerful machine but i felt they didn’t give enough attention to the rest (though at $30 a pop, you can’t really complain). so if you have a 360, get the game for that instead. i’m sure that’s amazing, as the game video has shown. time to save up some money.

I think the video game makers are putting waaaay more effort into the next-gen console games then they are the PS2. You can’t really blame that for that. Guess I’ve got to go get a 360.

i remember when In the Zone first dropped, i almost went out and got a playstation right away. that was the ish! it was “run ‘n gun” except with better graphics.
and i ain’t getting a 360, i’m waiting for the game to come out on ps3 in december. but i must admit $600 is way too much for a console, especially when the games are $60 a pop. i just don’t like the fact that the current gen consoles are getting shafted.
speaking of which, Slam should get an online league for 2k7. that’d be fun. speaking of which, it’s almost time to get off work and i’mma head back home to get my hands on the game.

2k is way better then live. live is like an arcade style game and some of the dunks are just retarded. like last year didnt they have tim duncan and shaq doin windmills? but 2k has much smoother fluid gmaeplay with the stick and all. I just am a little bummed that shaq got the cover cmon cant we get a lebron cover? i have a 360

2k7 for the XBox is pretty much the EXACT SAME GAME as 2k6. New rosters. Yay. I was SO mad. Now I’m taking the game back or selling it. I’ll wait til next tuesday and pick up FIFA 07! Now THAT is a fun game.

honestly, as big as a 2k fan as i am, i have to agree with Eric that 2k7 is pretty much the same game as 2k6, that’s why I felt the current gen got shafted by VC (visual concept, not carter). but at $30, you can’t really complain.
big ups to Marcel for playing NHL 94. now that’s old school.
and Russ, there ain’t nothing wrong with being one generation back. there are still plenty of awesome games out for PS2 that i may still be playing them years from now.

Ive played Live 07 and 2K7 on 360..and graphic wise, live 07 still makes your jaw drop…but everything else, the trophy goes to 2K7…eventhough the player faces are somewhat scary, the animation is incredible..the street mode is FUN..and everything else just seem to come together perfectly…and as for live 07..ive always been a loyal fan of the Live series ever since the PS series, and it has never let me down…but Live07, whatever the console maybe, just flat out dissapointing…in live 07 you got Eric Snow takin 30 shots attempt while leaving Lebron for 6 attempts…not right…havent played the PS3 version though, but I wont get my hopes up too high….2K7 just makes u wanna lace up those sneakers and start ballin..thats what i did
