It’s been a superstar summer. From everyone on Team USA to everyone on the new KICKS cover. But where is Mr. MVP?

Do you realize that these three little words “It’s My Team” would become the backbone of the issue that would dominate the league for the next 5 years or so. The Shaq-Kobe feud was born. As you can see, the big fella, who with Phil Jackson and the triangle in place was about to become the undisputed best player in the league, was already caught up in the power struggle. Classic Shaq face with the Frankenstein pose. If any other player tried this pose, it wouldn’t make sense, but with Shaquille it does.
