Role players stepped into the spotlight in a night that featured two crushing defeats.
In Chicago, after Cleveland’s star guard Kyrie Irving suffered an apparent knee injury, King James and company went to work in a total dismantling of the lackluster as they ousted D-Rose and company 94-73. Helping spark Cavs’ run was the pesky and persistent Matthew Dellavedova—in the Nike Kobe 9 EM Low—who would lead the team in scoring with a season-high 19 points.
In Los Angeles, the Clippers missed a golden opportunity to close out the series as they blew a 19-point lead in falling to the Rockets, 119-107. With James Harden sitting most of the fourth quarter, Rockets’ reserves Corey Brewer—in the Under Armour ClutchFit Drive Low—and Josh Smith—wearing the adidas Crazylight Boost 2015—took the reigns as they combined for 29 of the team’s 40 points in the final quarter t0 lead a comeback of historic proportions. Dwight Howard—in his adidas D Howard 5—played a major role as well as he balled out dropping 20 points to go along with 21 rebounds.
