Christmas Day NBA games represent one of the League’s marquee days for sneakers. Outside of the NBA All-Star game, no other day features as many notable kicks as some of the game’s most recognizable names debut special Christmas edition colorways.
Amongst those who wore Christmas editions of their signature models included LeBron James who donned the Nike LeBron 13, Kyrie Irving in the Nike Kyrie 2, Kevin Durant in the Nike KD 8, Stephen Curry in his “Northern Lights” Under Armour Curry Two, Chris Paul in the Jordan CP3.IX, and James Harden in the adidas Crazylight Boost 2015. And while most sneakerheads already knew those stars would be wearing those kicks, other players had some pleasant surprises up their sleeves as well.
Jordan Clarkson had the most notable pair of the night as he took the court in the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 “Grinch” while teammate D’Angelo Russell took the floor in the Nike Zoom “What The” Kobe 9. Oddly enough, Kobe Bryant chose not to wear his Christmas colorway and instead wore a pair of PE X Elites. Jared Cunningham, although he didn’t make an appearance on-court, was spotted in the Nike Zoom LeBron IV “All-Star.” Nick Young probably went into Gilbert Arenas’ closet again as he brought out what arguably was the most obscure pair of the evening as he rocked the UNDRCRWN x adidas Gil Zero Low “5ive” from 2007.
For the rest of the best in this year’s NBA Christmas kicks, you’ve come to the right place. Happy Holidays!
