This year’s NBA All-Star Saturday was one for the ages, and we’ve got a recap of all the kicks worn by its participants.
In what was arguably the greatest dunk showdown ever, Zach LaVine—in the Nike Hyperdunk 2015 Low—defended his title as he edged Aaron Gordon—wearing Nike Zoom HyperRev 2016—to take home the Verizon NBA Slam Dunk crown. The finale featured some of the most epic slams the competition had ever seen and left all of us yearning for more.
The Foot Locker Three-Point Competition was a Golden State affair as the Splash Brothers duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson shared the spotlight. While both equally impressive with their deft shooting performances, Thompson, in his Anta KT1, would top Curry and his Under Armour Curry Two, 27-23.
In the entertaining Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Karl-Anthony Towns pulled off the upset as he defeated Isaiah Thomas in a nail-biter. Towns took the court in the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2014 while Thomas competed in the Nike Kobe X Elite “Last Emperor.”
Other notable kicks from the evening included DeMarcus Cousins in the Nike Air Foamposite One “Northern Lights,” James Harden in an olive adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5, Andre Drummond in the OVO x Air Jordan X Retro, and Kyle Lowry sporting the adidas Crazy 8 “Aurora Borealis.”
